Mixing
Mixing can be done “In The Box” with Pro Tools using various plugins, Reverb, Compression, EQ to name a few. This is where the correct balance of vocals and music are achieved, all vocals are recorded “Dry” with no effects this way we can add the various plugins to achieve that perfect mix.
For that “Old School” sound I offer an “Out Of The Box” option, recordings are mixed down on a Soundcraft GB4 desk the mix is then processed using outboard analogue equipment and recorded back into Pro Tools, once back in Pro Tools the track can be saved ready for Mastering.

Mastering
Mastering this is where the final “polish” is added to the mixed track, this is achieved in Pro Tools using experience and dedicated mastering plugins, mastering makes your recording sound good on various play back devices.
